Creating a path to cultural reconciliation
Olakhaan stands for ‘Identity’ in the dialect spoken by Nomads of Rajasthan. It refers to a state of selfhood that encompasses all aspects of one’s culture.
Olakhaan Trust is a non-profit organisation set up under the Rajasthan Public Trust Act, 1959. I established the organisation in the year 2018. Stemming from extensive field knowledge and my own lived experiences, Olakhaan addresses critical gaps in access to rights among some of India’s most marginalised communities, including Nomadic, Dalit and Adivasi communities.
